Administrators attending STEMATHON have the opportunity to participate in a STEM Leadership Academy presented by IU13. Participants who register for this additional option will attend a special workshop with the opening keynote presenter, designated sessions at the STEM Conference, receive a book to read, and complete job-embedded assignments throughout the school year. Successful completion of all STEM Leadership Academy activities will be eligible for PA Act 45 (PIL) continuing education hours. If you are an administrator who is interested in this leadership opportunity, please be sure to check the box during registration.
Act 45: The STEMATHON Design Team is pleased to announce that the STEM Leadership Academy has been approved for Act 45 by PDE. The STEM Leadership Academy begins at the conference with 14 hours of required sessions and keynotes, and then continues as a 10-week, 16-hour online Act 45 program to expand administrators’ professional learning related to the conference goals and aligned to PA Leadership Standards. A total of 30 hours of Act 45 credit will be awarded upon successful completion of the program.
Anyone registered for STEMATHON may attend the STEM Leadership Academy components (Act 45-eligible sessions), but attendees will only earn Act 45 credit by attending the eligible conference sessions, registering for the Act 45 program, and completing the online component.
The cost of the STEM Leadership Academy Act 45 program is $125. Please note that this is in addition to your STEMATHON conference registration fee. A book is included and there is nothing else to buy.

To register for the Act 45 program, complete the online registration by October 19, 2018.
